n. A word (or phrase) which only appears once in a text, from the Greek {aasperacu}{pi}{alpha}{xi} {lambda}{epsilon}{gamma}{goacu}{mu}{epsilon}{nu}{omicron}{nu} (“once said”).

Dandruff

In this blog, porriginous, which means covered in dandruff, is a hapax legomenon. Lovely.
